ペットはかわいいだけじゃない!

What We Can Do

If you're thinking, "I want to do something to save pets!" we have some suggestions for you.

In fact there are many things you can do to save pets.

Donation to Shelters

Donate Directly

If you search the websites of animal protection organizations, you will find many websites of organizations that are asking for donations, food, pet sheets and other animal care supplies. You can donate directly to the animal protection organization you want to support. You can also donate to an association that only has an office, and ask them to use the money for volunteer activities to raise awareness of pet-related issues or to help pets in the event of a disaster.

Recently, donation boxes have also been placed at train stations and convenience stores. Even if you don't want to donate a lot of money or goods, please donate if you find one. It's a great way to help!

Use Cards

When you use a credit card called "Japan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Card" sponsored by the Japan Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, a portion of the amount you spend will be used for animal welfare. You can choose to use your support money for cats, dogs, or dogs and cats.

Aid without Money

Even if you don't have to spend a lot of money, you may be able to donate newspapers, unwanted towels, etc. Check with them.

Volunteering

If you have time to spare and are an animal lover, please try volunteering at a local shelter. In most cases, you can apply through the volunteer organization's website. In addition to taking care of the animals at the shelter, you can also volunteer as a staff member for the transfer event. You can also volunteer to take care of milk-drinking cats and dogs at home for a certain period of time, or take care of cautious dogs and cats at home and help them get used to people.

Adoption

When you are thinking about getting a pet, please consider taking in a pet from a public health center or shelter as well as a pet store. Instead of just taking the pet in out of the blue, you can take it in after a trial period to see if it is compatible with you, and you can also consult with the people at the facility.

How is it compatible with the pet you had before? If you have small children, will the pet attack the children? It might be safer than buying from a pet store, considering that you have a period of time to try it out.

Lastly

There are actually many unexpected things we can do for our pets. We would be happy if more people became aware of the importance of protecting the lives of irreplaceable animals.
