The Five Freedoms for Animals
It was created in England in the 1960s. It is now recognized around the world as the basis for animal welfare.
These rights must be protected.
1 Freedom from hunger and thirst (access to fresh water and diet to maintain health and vigor)
2 Freedom from discomfort
3 Freedom from pain, injury, or disease
4 Freedom to express normal behavior
5 Freedom from fear and stress
Column-Animal Welfare-
Animal welfare was formed in the UK in 18 century. Animals have lives and are sentient like human beings, so we should keep their environment clean and comfortable in order to keep animals healthy and mental conditions good.
Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare
The Universal Declaration of Animal Rights was established by UNESCO in 1978 as an international guideline for the protection of animals.
Now we will introduce you article 1 to 10 easily.
Article 1
The right for all animals to be treated equally
Article 2
All animal life has the right to be respected
Article 3
Animals must not be subjected to bad treatments or to cruel acts
Article 4
Wild animals have the right to live and to reproduce in freedom in their own natural environment
Article 5
Any animal which is dependent on man has the right to proper sustenance and care
Article 6
Experiments on animals entailing physical or psychological suffering violate the rights of animals
Article 7
Any act unnecessary involving the death of an animal, and any decision leading to such an act, constitute a crime against life
Article 8
Any act compromising the survival of a wild species and any decision leading to such an act are tantamount to genocide
Article 9
The specific legal status of animals and their rights must be recognised by law
Article 10
Educational and schooling authorities must ensure that citizens learn from childhood to observe, understand and respect animals
