What's Kabuki?
We'll introduce kabuki here.
Kabuki is one of the Japanese traditional theater and music, serif and dance are becoming one like musical.
Program of kabuki can be divided into two, Sewamono and Jidaimono.
Sewamono : Theme is the living in Edo.
Jidaimono : Theme is the past world like noble and samurai.
Stage of kabuki has many structure, and by them many performance are able to do. For example, Seri, Mawaributai and Hanamichi.
Seri : There are many size of Seri in theater of kabuki. The seri which moves all of big props called
Ōzeri, the seri which moves character of the story called Kozeri, and the seri which is near of
Hanamichi called Suppon. Especially, Ōzeri is used in dynamic stage change.
Mawaributai : This is a structure which rotate the part that cut widely middle of the stage. We can change stage smoothly, by decorating 2 or 3 stage equipments on the round part.
Hanamichi : It's the structure which is used for entering and leaving of actors. The parts that extend perpendicularly from the bottom of Honbutai, pass through the
audience seats, continue until Agemaku. Hanamichi changes into many places (road, corridor, sea and riverside etc...), according to the scene which is played at Honbutai, and it's near to the audience seats, so there is the place where gives us sense of intimacy to audience.
