Of course, food loss is not just a problem in Japan.
Today, the whole world is working together to reduce food waste.

About SDGs

Do you know SDGs?
Do you know SDGs? The SDGs (which stands for Sustainable Development Goals) are goals shared by the international community, determined by world leaders at a summit held at the United Nations in September 2015.

It consists of 17 goals and 169 targets, and the philosophy is to "leave no one behind" on earth.

The 11 specific targets for Goal 12 of the SDGs, “Responsible Consumption and Production,” are listed below.

In particular, the third target states:
“By 2030, halve per capita global food waste at the retail and consumer levels and reduce food losses
along production and supply chains, including post-harvest losses.”

In order to achieve this goal, efforts are being made to reduce food waste all around the world.
