Let's start by experiencing how much the UI influences usability. Take a look at the two images below and try to figure out which is the better UI.

Perhaps most people found the image above 'easier to understand'. When we surveyed our students, around 95% of them said that the image above was easier to understand. The colors are clear and easy to read", "The margins and font size are appropriate and easy to read" and "The amount of information is just right and the content is easy to follow". These are important factors in the quality of a UI and can have such an impact on the ease of understanding.
