About Logo

Since we made the favicon in 3D, we created the object with a 3D printer.

UTURE
Steps
We followed the PDCA cycleThe PDCA cycle is a method of continuous improvement through a cycle of four processes: PLAN, DO, CHECK, and ACTION..
  1. PLAN
  2. We redesigned the 3D data of the favicon with CAD named Tinkercad, developed by Autodesk, and made the object that could stand without a base.

  3. DO
    • Redesign
    • Source:Tinkercad

▲Picture of making a cavity in an object for balancing
We adjusted the balance of the object to equalize the weights on the left and right sides. However, it was difficult to measure the accurate weight because of the thickness of the surface. Therefore we adjusted it visually.
    • Print
    • Place: Dengiken's club room

      ▲Adventurer3 used for printing
We made the object with a 3D printer using the slicer softwareSlicer software is one that converts (slices) object data into data for printing and rewrites it in a format that 3D printers understand when printing with a 3D printer. after redesigning it.

We used a 3D printer, Adventure3, that we own for printing the object with blue PLA.
  4. CHECK
  5. Place: Dengiken's club room

    ▲Printed the object

We could print the object elaborately without any errors. In addition, the object stood without a pedestal.

The shade looked luxurious and had no problem. We also tried to make objects with different colored resins and compare them.

  6. ACTION
  7. Place: Dengiken's club room

    ▲Reprinted white object

We made the object once again with white resin. It looked cheaper than the previous one. However, the object looked simple, and we felt good for our eyes.

Review

We thought we would fail in the first trial. So we were happy seeing the object standing in a good balance.

In addition, a strange feeling appeared in my heart "Where is my PDCA cycleThe PDCA cycle is a method of continuous improvement through a cycle of four processes: PLAN, DO, CHECK, and ACTION....". Just kidding!

We thank you for the great environment of DengikenDengiken is the club we belong to. The abbreviation is Dengiken. Each of us has our own project and conducts the research we want to do., where we can use equipment and make objects.

Back:Hanger
We made a hanger to try to use a 3D printer.
Key Ring:Next
Key Rings are a great fit in printing with a 3D printer. So we actually made a Key Ring.
