▲The following picture shows the key ring we made with a 3D printer.

We have two reasons why we made the key ring. First, we came up with an idea to make a key ring when we saw a nameplate made with a 3D printer. Second, it would be nice to have some memory to commemorate the formation of this team.

Steps
We followed the PDCA cycleThe PDCA cycle is a method of continuous improvement through a cycle of four processes: PLAN, DO, CHECK, and ACTION. in our activities.
  1. PLAN
  2. We planned to make a key ring based on the initial "F" of the word "Future Printer," and also we used "U" and "T," as shown in the picture.

  3. DO
    • Design
    • Source:Tinkercad

▲The picture shows the process of designing Tinkercad.

This is the key ring we made based on our design. We also made a hole for the string.

    • Printing
    • Place: Dengiken's club room

▲This picture is a printed key ring.

This is the key ring we made with a 3D printer. The size is 43mm x 43mm x 43mm, and the printing time was about 2 hours. As the font size is no problem and has a hole it was slightly blocked.

  4. CHECK
  5. We realized that we needed to enlarge the hole.
Also, it is necessary to set up support structuresSupport structures is a pillar printed between the hollow part (overhang) and the stage to prevent extruded filaments from floating during modeling..

  6. ACTION
    • Design
    • Source:Tinkercad

▲The picture shows the process of designing Tinkercad.

We enlarged the hole a little. We made the hole by joining a donut-shaped object.

    • Printing
    • Place: Dengiken's club room

      ▲We completed printing.

The string can now pass through the chain hole. Also, the corners were a little sharp, so we solved this problem by removing them with sandpaper.

Review

Place: Dengiken's club room

▲This picture shows the key ring.

We learned the depth of 3D printer settings by making a key ring. We also learned various things, such as how the durability of the key chain can be changed depending on the fill rate and where we fill the materials.

We are happy to make a key ring for our memory.
Back:Favicon
We redesigned the 3D data for the favicon so that it would stand on its own without the base.
