Huh? Too hard for you? Math and 3D Printers
Hello! This is Riku.
"Creater's Blog for 9/14. "
Today, an event occurred that was quite a turning point for me.
This is that I could feel the connection between learning and club activities.
I used to think that schoolwork, study, and club activities were independent of each other, that they were not connected, and that they had not yet reached the point where they could be used (or needed to be used?). I thought that they had not yet reached the point where they were connected.
I have had the opportunity to use Fusion 360 in conjunction with mathematical formulas in the process of producing the 3D printer target I spoke of the other day.
Fusion 360 allows the insertion of mathematical formulas in svg files and other formats, such as graphs of quadratic functions, for example.
Since it was a target, I tied in my knowledge of parabolas that I learned in Math III, and we did a club activity. It was very computational and fun!
I hope to actually see the finished product next time and give you some feedback!
Stay tuned for the next installment!
