Robot x 3D printer ②!

Hello to all of you reading! This is Riku.

In my last Blog, I wrote about the current printing scale problem.I consider this to be a very, very big problem, but at the same time, I see potential.

So this time, I will write specifically about how to improve it.

It is to eliminate the foundation.

This is something I was thinking about when I was interviewed by Cyfuse, and I wondered if it would be possible to print freely in various locations without a foundation. Eliminating the foundation means separating the "3D printer itself" and the "printing part.

To give you a concrete example, the part that pushes out the filament is replaced by a "robot," which can run around more smoothly in any direction and in any direction. By doing so, the mechanism that ejects the filament necessary for printing can move, and the printing scale can be set free. By doing so, the printing scale can be expanded in the xy-axis direction.

I thought the above method would solve the problem. However, I realized that there are many problems, such as difficulty in getting the height. So I wanted to think about these current problems in the future.

Thank you for reading. We look forward to working with you again next time.
